Eco-Friendly

At Ducoterra our roots are in supporting a sustainable world. We believe this means that, as stewards of this earth and our communities, we must first do no harm. And second, we must use our skills and strengths to benefit all our stakeholders – our employees, our customers, our planet, our communities, and our owners. We use a system of accounting for our products and activities called the Triple Bottom Line – enhancing value for our People, our Planet, and our Profits. We accomplish this through value driven decision making, delivering environmentally conscious and healthy products produced by employees who are valued and grow as we grow.

Home Energy Usage

Stop Wasting Energy

On average, over 40 percent of the energy used in a home goes towards space heating. Inefficient home heating systems cause environmental harm by wasting precious resources.

Central heating is wasteful, losing up to 25% of the energy in the ductwork. SolaRay panels burn no fuel and they convert 100% of the power they consume into comfortable heat without wasting energy.

No Carbon Combustion

The earth’s resources must be used responsibly. SolaRay panels operate without any carbon combustion, no toxic by-products of combustion, no open flame, and no fuel lines to leak. They add nothing to the air and take nothing away from the air, making them environmentally friendly. Combine with a photo-voltaic system for the ultimate low carbon solution as this article by Engios explains: Efficient Solar Panel Output

Green Manufacturing

At Ducoterra, we source all our materials as locally as possible and we take great care to reduce waste in our supply chain and our manufacturing process. In fact, our total waste is less than 0.2%!   Our panels are 90% recyclable and with the 40-year lifetime of our products, the impact on the environment is small compared to any other heating system making SolaRay heating panels truly a sustainable heating system.

Free From Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields

Based on an independent third-party measurement of installed SolaRay panels, using a Gegahertz Solutions NFA 1000, EMF measured 0.17mG which is in the “Ideal” range based on biological risk definitions from The Institute of Building Biology and Ecology (IBE).  Download the full report!
